After obtaining her vocational (specialist) registration with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, she undertook further overseas fellowships as the Advanced Inflammatory Bowel Disease and Endoscopy Fellow at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge, UK, as well as Intestinal Ultrasound training at Mater Health in Brisbane.
Caroline has a special interest in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). She has published, peer-reviewed, and is an active member of international working groups (ECCO) in this area. She is also trained in capsule endoscopy, intestinal ultrasound, diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, and is a national bowel screening endoscopist.
Outside of work, if she isn’t globetrotting or exploring the shores of New Zealand; she is guaranteed to be found at the local café with a coffee in hand. Since discovering Wellington’s coffee culture she hasn’t looked back, and now can’t imagine calling anywhere else home!
