Mohammad is interested in the management of dental trauma in children and adolescents, behaviour management of children and stem cell research.

Mohammad worked as an Oral Surgeon/Trauma Registrar for five years in Kuwait Ministry of Health during which he obtained the Fellowship in Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (UK) in 2001.
He joined Leeds University (UK) in 2003 for his Paediatric Dentistry training and graduated with Masters in Dental Sciences/Paediatric Dentistry in 2006. Mohammad became a member in Paediatric Dentistry of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (2006).
Mohammad worked as a specialist in Paediatric Dentistry for five years in Kuwait Ministry of Health for more than five years then joined the University of Otago in 2012 to do his PhD in Paediatric Dentistry. He is registered with the New Zealand Council in 2014 as a specialist in Paediatric Dentistry and works with Courtenay Specialists to provide Paediatric Dentistry services in Wellington.
